No longer the realm of futuristic science fiction, artificial intelligence and machine learning are already making a variety of in-roads in health care. The photo above are four examples.
Clinically, provider are using algorithms to diagnose diabetic retinopathy from eye scans with a success rate of 90 percent. Algorithms can also have found that it has emerged as a promising tool in cardiovascular medicine. From a business perspective, hospitals like Johns Hopkins have used AI to assign beds in the ED faster.
