Director of Specialty and Value-based Partnerships, Humana

Brandon Spicer, MS is the Director of Specialty and Value-based Partnerships at Humana.  He brings a long history of medical cost management and specific focus on those with kidney disease.  Brandon led the clinical and operational strategy for the past 5 years for bringing value-based programs for those at Humana with kidney disease.  Brandon was recently listed as a co-author of Humana’s Value-based Care (VBC) Issue Brief: Value-based care in nephrology, which highlights how VBC arrangements can significantly improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs for people with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD).  Humana is leveraging expertise and success within VBC in primary care, expanding into the specialty care space.  In addition to kidney care, Brandon and his team are now leading contracting efforts into other specialties as well.
