CEO, The Oncology Institute

Brad Hively is Chief Executive Officer of The Oncology Institute (NASDAQ: TOI), the nation’s leading value-based oncology group. Brad joined TOI as a member of its Board of Directors in 2018 and assumed the role of CEO in 2019. He brings over 20 years of executive leadership and healthcare experience.

Before joining TOI, Brad was President of Health Essentials. Through its IPA (Health Essentials Physician Network), its Medical Group (GeriNet), and its eight hospices, Health Essentials provided high-touch, value-based care for patients with advanced illness.

Before Health Essentials, Brad was Senior Vice President of Operations at Heritage Provider Network. Heritage is one of the largest, most progressive physician groups in the country. Through its network of over 35,000 physicians, Heritage manages care for approximately one million patients on an at-risk basis. At Heritage, Brad held several positions of increasing responsibility, including leadership and management of multiple IPAs and staff-model physician groups.

Brad has also spent time as a healthcare investor, holding positions with TA Associates, General Atlantic, and RLH Equity. In his time as an investor, Brad served on the Boards of The Oncology Institute, Biorasi, Patient Care America, and American Access Care.

Brad graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics and earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three children.
