Aaron Perry

President & CEO, Rebalanced-Life Wellness Association

Aaron Gabriel Perry is a Former Police Officer and the Founding President and CEO of Rebalanced-Life Wellness Association, whose mission is ensuring that Black men and boys living in underserved communities, who bear the heaviest burden of disease and poor health status, have the opportunities and resources to live fuller healthier lives.

Founded in 2007, the Rebalanced-Life Wellness Association launched the nation’s 1st Health Center inside a Black barbershop bringing healthcare out of the hospital and into the community. In 2018, TIME Magazine recognized Aaron for his innovation of “Thinking Outside the Hospital” and selected him as 1 of 50 Most Influential People in Health Care.

Aaron is a Fellow with Health Evolution, and he serves on the Board of Directors with Access Community Health Centers and American Heart Association. On October 5, 2023, the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents Education Committee appointed to the Oversight and Advisory Committee.

For the past 32 years, Aaron has lived as a type 1 insulin dependent diabetic, and on September 11, 2005, he became the world’s 1st Insulin Dependent African American Diabetic to complete the Ironman Triathlon. Aaron recently authored a 5-book series titled, “The Doctor Say’s I Have”. Aaron continues to travel throughout the Midwest presenting his books to Black barbershops and encouraging thousands of Black and Latino clientele to be stronger advocates for the healthcare. Aaron is a graduate of Madison College Police Academy and Marycrest University where he majored in Social Work.
